Y8/9 Sporting Achievements

Recently, a group of our fantastic Year 8 and 9 students had the opportunity to take part in two exciting events – the Children’s Capital of Culture Baton Relay and a set of competitive Rounders fixtures at Matlby, and they did not disappoint!

As proud representatives of our school, the students showed exemplary behaviour and teamwork throughout the day. During the Baton Relay, which forms part of Rotherham’s wider Children’s Capital of Culture 2025 celebrations, our students helped carry the symbolic baton with pride, playing their part in a borough-wide initiative designed to spotlight community spirit.

As well as this, CCS students took to the field for the Year 8/9 Rounders fixtures, where they gave it their all. Their positive attitude, resilience, and determination were clear to see – not just in their performance, but in the way they supported one another and demonstrated true team spirit.

Well done to everyone involved – we are incredibly proud of you all!
