Y8 Football Cup

On Saturday 21st March, our Year 8 football team travelled to Wickersley School and Sports College to compete in the Cup final against Wales.

The team played brilliantly, twice equalising after going behind thanks to goals from Emmanuel and Asumi. Clifton looked strong and were the more likely team to win, but Wales scored on a counter attack with just two minutes remaining.

The final score was 3–2 to Wales, but the boys’ effort, determination, and sportsmanship were a credit to Clifton. We look forward to seeing them go one better as they move into Year 9!
