This week, we took a fantastic group of Year 9 and Year 10 students to visit Magdalen College, Oxford. During the visit, students learned all about the college and higher education before enjoying a tour of the grounds, including the college’s famous deer park. They also experienced lunch in the grand hall and took part in a walking tour of Oxford, where they saw some of the university’s most famous buildings.
The trip was a brilliant example of Wickersley Partnership Trust’s Enrichment Promise, giving students the opportunity to experience new places, broaden their aspirations, and explore future pathways beyond the classroom. To end the day, students took part in an Earth Sciences session focused on fossils. It was a fantastic experience, and we hope it has inspired our students to aim high with their studies.
A huge thank you to the outreach team at Magdalen College, and well done to all of the students who made the day such a success!
