WPT Young Musician of the Year 2026

The WPT Young Musician of the Year 2026 competition celebrated the incredible talent, dedication, and creativity of young performers from across the Trust, and Clifton Community School was proudly represented in both the Vocalist and Instrumentalist Finals.

In the Vocalist Final, Bridie delivered a powerful performance of Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush, showcasing fantastic confidence and musicianship.

Clifton students also impressed in the Instrumentalist Finals. Christian and Riley gave energetic performances in the Intermediate category, narrowly missing out on the top spot. In the Advanced category, Finley and Jacob represented the school brilliantly against some of the strongest musicians across the Trust.

We are especially proud to celebrate Jacob, who was crowned the WPT Young Musician of the Year 2026 – Advanced Instrumentalist Winner. This is an outstanding achievement and a testament to his hard work, talent, and dedication to music. Congratulations also to Cameron from Wickersley School & Sports College, who was named the overall Young Musician of the Year 2026 winner.

The CCS Music Team and WPT Music Team are incredibly proud of every pupil who took part. Their performances, teamwork, and support for others truly reflected the values of the Clifton Way, with special recognition going to Christian and Jacob for volunteering to help pack down the event without being asked. Well done to everyone involved!
