Y10/11 History Residential

On 27th March, 33 Clifton students from Y10 and Y11 visited France and Belgium to see the trenches and battlegrounds of WWI. The group visited a variety of monuments, including Vimy Ridge, Thiepval (where our King paid tribute to the soldiers of the Somme on the centenary of the battle in 2016), and Tynecot Cemetery.

The students also enjoyed the Flanders Field Interactive Museum. As well as this, they got to witness The Last Post at the Menin Gate, where soldiers have been called home from battle since 1918. The students learnt so much from the visit, simply by being surrounded by history.

Well done everyone, you were a credit to the school and WPT!
