Dance Students Perform at No Bounds Festival

Before the Summer, Clifton’s Y9 dance suite and five talented Y11 students had the exciting opportunity to work with a professional dance company over a five-week project. The collaboration was designed to prepare them for the official opening of The Empire Theatre, where they were due to perform as part of the celebrations.

Although the theatre’s opening has been postponed until November, the dancers were still able to showcase their incredible hard work and creativity with two live performances at the No Bounds Festival.

The group showed true dedication and professionalism – rehearsing late into the evening on Tuesday and returning for an intensive session from 10am the following morning. Their commitment paid off, as they delivered two outstanding performances at the ROAR Theatre Space, watched by proud parents and around 50 festival attendees.

The performance was supported by the Children’s Capital of Culture, who will also be releasing a professional video of the event in the coming weeks. As a further recognition of their talent, the students will each receive a £50 performance fee from the organisation.

We are incredibly proud of our dancers for their hard work and passion. They represented CCS fantastically!
