Football Success

It has been a busy and exciting time for our football teams, with the chance of further success just around the corner!

On Saturday 14th March, our Y9 and Y11 teams will both compete in the Plate finals. The Y9 team will face the winner of the other semi-final between Wingfield and Aston, while the Y11 team will take on Oakwood. Both matches will be played at St Bernard’s School.

The following week, on Saturday 21st March, our Y8 boys will travel to Wickersley to compete in the Rotherham Schools Cup Final. The team were runners-up in the competition last year and are hoping to go one step further this time. Their journey to the final has been impressive, with victories over Thrybergh, Brinsworth, and a superb win against Aston in the semi-final.

This achievement is even more remarkable when you consider that, before last year, our previous appearance in a cup final was all the way back in 1996.

We wish all of our teams the very best in their upcoming matches and hope they can bring some trophies back to Clifton!
