Recently, our Year 7 students took part in our annual visit to Madina Mosque in Sheffield, organised by the RE department. This visit gives every Year 7 student the opportunity to experience and learn more about the largest mosque in South Yorkshire.
During the visit, students explored the important role the mosque plays within the local community, learned about its significance to Muslims, and gained an insight into how prayer takes place. They were given a guided tour of the mosque, where they admired its stunning architecture, intricate designs, and beautiful features.
Highlights of the visit included seeing the impressive central dome, the magnificent chandelier, and the wall displaying the 99 names of Allah. It was a fascinating and enjoyable experience that brought their classroom learning to life.
