Huge congratulations to the Class of 2026! After a brilliant year of hard work from both students and staff, we are celebrating Clifton Community School’s best GCSE results ever!
Our overall Attainment 8 score rose significantly to 36.7, up from 29.4 in 2025. The proportion of students achieving a strong pass (Grade 5+) in both English and Maths reached 31.9%, a substantial increase from last year’s 18.1%. Meanwhile, 47.1% achieved a standard pass (Grade 4+).
Performance across other subjects was equally encouraging. MFL 4+ passes increased to 50% (up from 35.1%), and Science 4+ passes reached 51.9%, reflecting continued improvement across the curriculum.
These results are a testament to the perseverance of the students, the incredible support of their families and the tireless work of teaching and support staff who have been there every step of the way.
Mrs Smith, Headteacher at Clifton Community School said: “These results are proof of what happens when high ambition meets hard work. To see our young people collect results that open real doors for their futures is the best feeling in the world. We could not be prouder of our Class of 2026.”
We are so proud of every single student who collected their results today. Their determination and effort have paid off in a big way – well done!
The significant progress at CCS has played a major role in the wider academic improvement seen across Wickersley Partnership Trust’s secondary schools this year.
