Last week our whole school took part in the Clifton and Beyond day. Each year group had a different theme but all year groups were working on life skills and future plans.
In Year 6 and Year 7, they took part in team building activities and learning new skills, also about how to have a growth mindset.
In Year 8 it was all about enterprise and learning about the film industry. They had a talk from Richard Knight from Screen Yorkshire and learnt about all the other extra roles relating to the film industry. We were also amazed by the celebrities he had worked with.
In Year 9, they completed a day of virtual work experience from REED and also learnt how to evaluate their employability skills.
Finally in Year 10, they focused on what next after Clifton and took part in a series for workshops delivered by the team at HEPPSY.
It was an extremely busy day but one that will prove invaluable in the future. Well done to all.
