Just before Easter, two of our y11 students Boris and Logan went into two of our primary feeder schools to deliver lessons about the hens that they keep.
They took in chicks and a fully grown hen for the students to learn about and also some of the eggs that they had laid. The hen was a huge star though when during one of the sessions she actually laid a fresh egg much to the delight of the students. Their preparation for the sessions was also highly impressive, carrying out risk assessments, preparing the area so that students could enjoy the lesson fully, and of course, planning a really engaging session for the students.
The feedback they received was really wonderful and we are so proud of them.
