RE Ambassador Fundraiser

Before the Easter holidays, the RE Ambassadors and RE teachers organised a fundraising event for Doctors Without Borders, also known as Médecins Sans Frontières. This is a charity that provides humanitarian medical care, it is a non-governmental organisation that originated in France, known for its projects in conflict zones such as Ukraine, Lebanon and Palestine, and in countries affected by endemic diseases such as India, Pakistan and Vietnam.

After we agreed on which charity to support, we began to plan the event. We agreed to host the event in the hall, where students would go to buy and sell goods, all the money raised from this would then go to the charity. When we advertised the event, a lot of people wanted to join in and help, we had students selling food and desserts they had made, running different games to raise money, and also selling beaded jewellery.

The event was a huge hit! We were really happy, as this helped us raise a total of £353.

After the event, Ms Leng said she had a great time, and agreed that we should organise another event like this. So now we have decided we will help the RE teachers organise another in the future.
