Last week, a group of engineering students had the privilege of visiting the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre at Catcliffe. This is where budding engineers of the future learn by taking on apprenticeships with some of the leading engineering companies such as Rolls Royce, Boeing and McLaren.
Students also visited SBD Apparel, who are the market leader in supports, clothing and accessories for strength and fitness. This is used by powerlifters, strongmen, weightlifters and other strength athletes.
Finally, they visited Factory 2050, which is where technology of the future is being developed. Whilst much of the facility is top secret, they did manage to see some of the amazing robots being developed there, and they were able to see what engineering looks like in the future.
Everyone had a brilliant time, and represented CCS fantastically, well done!
