Recently, our Careers Team were invited by the National Horseracing College to attend a VIP event at Doncaster Racecourse.
The team explored the many varied roles associated with the horseracing industry and learnt about the wide range of courses offered at the National Horseracing College in nearby Rossington. They spoke with jockeys, grooms, ground staff, and officials, as well as mentors and staff from the college.
It was particularly encouraging to learn that even students with no prior experience working with horses are welcomed, and that an impressive 97% of students gain employment in the industry after completing their courses.
