Recently, Clifton School hosted our annual Faith Leaders Event, welcoming representatives from Humanism, the Bahá’í Faith, Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, and Buddhism.
The event gave students a valuable opportunity to hear first-hand about different beliefs and worldviews. Our guests shared their personal journeys, experiences of faith and spirituality, and answered thoughtful questions from students, helping to deepen their understanding of the diverse communities within Rotherham.
The event was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who took part, with many students reflecting on what they had learned:
“I really liked meeting and talking to people that I might not otherwise be able to meet in my life.”
“I really enjoyed meeting the Bahá’í faith leader because I didn’t know anything about this religion.”
“We learn about Humanism in school, but meeting someone has helped me understand it much better.”
“Talking to all these people made me realise that many religions share similar values, even though they worship in different ways.”
A huge thank you to all of our faith leaders for giving their time and helping to make the event such a meaningful and memorable experience for our students.
