It was a real privilege to open our doors last night and welcome prospective students and parents/carers to our Y5/6 Open Evening. The evening truly showcased the welcoming, inclusive, and supportive community at the heart of Clifton Community School.
The evening kicked off with an inspiring presentation from our Headteacher, Mrs Smith, outlining what makes our school community so special. Visitors then explored our classrooms, took part in hands-on activities, spoke with current students, and discovered the broad range of opportunities waiting for them at CCS.
We loved hearing some of the feedback from the Y6s and their families:
“I really enjoyed having a go on the musical instruments, especially playing the guitar. I can’t wait to come here next year!” – Josh, Y6 student
“It’s been lovely to look around the school and speak with the teachers. You can really see how much care goes into the school, and the students who showed us around were fantastic.” – Y6 parent
As part of Wickersley Partnership Trust, our core mission is to ensure every student leaves us able and qualified to play their part in an ever-changing world. This ethos is reflected in our ambitious curriculum, which prepares students for lifelong success by instilling essential knowledge, practical skills, and strong core attributes. Underpinning this is the “Clifton Way” – a shared set of values that develops independence, personal responsibility and resilience.
We hope all our visitors left with a clear picture of what makes our school such an inspiring place to learn and grow.
