As part of their RE curriculum, Y8 students had the opportunity to visit a local Gurdwara in Sheffield. Students were able to explore the Sikh faith first hand, in order to enhance their learning beyond the classroom. The students were able to look around the Sikh temple, and were given an educational talk about the Gurdwara and the Sikh religion, and were given the opportunity to ask questions to further develop their understanding of Sikhism. Whilst at the Gurdwara, the students also visited the Langar Hall (community kitchen), where food was kindly provided for the students to enjoy.
It was wonderful seeing the students’ engagement and enthusiasm, and we are extremely proud of how well they represented Clifton!
