MFL Week!

Buon giorno! This week at Clifton, we are celebrating Languages week and there are a number of activities going on around school.

Each day, teachers around school will be displaying their language skills and greeting students in a variety of languages. In form tutor time, students will be completing an Escape room in which they will learn all about the importance of languages as well as learn some key language skills. In addition, Year 7 will have the opportunity to gain a pledge by learning a greeting in five different languages throughout the week.

In lessons, we are excited to be hosting our first French Breakfast in which students will have the opportunity to taste a range of French foods and drinks whilst practising their spoken French.

In Spanish, students will deepen their understanding of the Mexican festival Day of the Dead by learning how to make some Hispanic crafts.

At break time, we will be hosting a Languages Scavenger Hunt around school whereby students will have the opportunity to search around the building for a number of new words.

Finally, in the canteen, students and staff will have the opportunity to enjoy a range of foods and snacks in the canteen themed by countries from around the globe!
