On Wednesday 20th March, we took 52 students to the ‘Get up to Speed with STEM’ event at Magna Science Adventure Centre. This has become an annual event for CCS to help our students broaden their horizons on STEM and introduce them to all the opportunities available in the STEM industry, both locally and nationally.
It’s always a great event combining meeting people from the world of STEM and learning about the businesses that they represent. It’s lots of fun trying out different STEM activities and experiencing STEM from a variety of different angles. It was fantastic to see all of the students really engaging with the exhibitors and gaining vital information about what is out there.
So many of our students won prizes by taking part in the different activities with some of these prizes earning the school a future visit and workshop from an employer. The students conducted themselves brilliantly throughout.
